Never leave home without it!

I took my easel with me while in town doing my parcel posting just in case ...and it paid off! The sun came out and it turned out to be a glorious day in Aberaeron.

This was the first painting. I quite like the colours and atmospheric feel to this piece.

The second painting was around the other side of Aberaeron by the harbour. I was able to dry some of the washes in the sunshine to allow for some more details and hard edges.

It's always a challenge painting outdoors, especially watercolour when weather conditions are a bit damp. I am pleased with the two paintings I completed and spending some time in the sun...and chatting to a few people who stopped to take a look to see what I was up to!
